Description

Description

The REDFOX Kitchen Equipment Clam grill (steak grill) is a device developed for fast and effective preparation of different dishes such as meat steaks, fish, hamburgers, minced meat, eggs, or eventually also for preparing vegetable dishes, making it an excellent choice for commercial kitchen equipment. Combination of anti-adhesive surfaces – chromed steel bottom plate and Teflon sheet covering the upper plate – represents comfortable and convenient way of food treatment, avoiding sticking to these surfaces. At the same time minimum of fat is needed to be used for this type of cooking. High output of booth plates (separately regulated) enable us to treat food in an optimal way – closing the food structure on the outside helps keeping the maximum moist and juice inside the product. This also contributes to minimizing the weight losses during thermal preparation.
■ 3 pre-set programs for easy and comfortable choice of operation
■ 1 adjustable program (time and temperature) for customized operation
■ Separated regulation of upper and bottom plates
■ Teflon sheet on the upper plate (easy replacement non-sticking surface)
FAQ'S

1. What primary electrical power does this commercial contact grill require? A: This heavy-duty contact grill operates on a standard 220–240V single-phase electrical supply at 50/60Hz. It draws a powerful 2.2 kW (2200 watts), meaning it can be plugged directly into standard commercial wall sockets to provide rapid heat-up times without requiring hardwired 3-phase modifications.

2. What is the operational advantage of cast-iron plates over aluminum or non-stick? A: While standard non-stick retail grills are easy to clean, they lose their heat instantly when cold food is applied. Heavy-duty cast-iron acts as a massive thermal battery. It takes slightly longer to heat up in the morning, but once it reaches 300°C, it retains that intense heat, allowing you to sear back-to-back orders without waiting for the machine to recover its temperature.

3. Will the heavy top plate crush my sandwiches and ruin the bread? A: No. The machine features an adjustable, counter-balanced spring hinge connecting the top plate to the chassis. This allows the heavy top grill to remain completely parallel to the bottom plate, applying firm, even pressure to thick sandwiches, burritos, and wraps without completely flattening or crushing the ingredients out the sides.

4. Can this machine be used to cook raw proteins like chicken breasts and burgers? A: Yes, absolutely. Because the thermostat reaches up to 300°C and applies direct contact heat from both the top and the bottom simultaneously, it can rapidly cook thin cuts of raw chicken, beef patties, and vegetables in half the time of a standard flat-top griddle.

5. How does the grill manage excess fats and oils during cooking? A: The bottom cast-iron plate is slightly angled to channel grease and melted cheese away from the cooking zone. This runoff falls directly into a removable stainless steel drip tray located at the front of the machine, keeping the grill surface clean and preventing food from boiling in its own grease.

6. What is the recommended daily maintenance and cleaning routine? A: Never pour cold water on the cast-iron plates while they are hot, as the thermal shock can crack the metal. At the end of the shift, turn the grill off, let it cool slightly, and use a specialized brass wire brush to scrape the carbonized debris into the drip tray. Periodically wipe the plates with a lightly oiled cloth to keep the cast-iron seasoned and naturally non-stick.
